Brian Maloney, another Southern Tier native, exemplifies what any company could want in a Produce Manager. A vegetarian himself, Brian understands the importance of a Healthy Lifestyle and the role produce plays. New to this position, Brain has taken the initiative to contact as many resources as possible. In summer months Brian works tirelessly with local farmers to bring you the freshest produce available in our area.
Our store has joined NOFA (Northeast Organic Farmers Assoc.) and Brian plows through every publication, website or any other avenue that may lead him to more knowledge in making Healthy U's produce department the best it can be. His hard work must be paying off as we have found our produce, especially the Organic produce, a hard nut to crack.... Yet you our customers, many class instructors and even a few local chefs have commented on the ever improving quality of this department.
We have been told that for a health food store Healthy U is above and beyond most. It took awhile but with Brians hard work and determination he has found new vendors and ways to bring our customers the best organic and locally grown produce available. We couldn't appreciate him more.
